Get A Dental Make Over With Dental Veneers

These days it seems like everybody is on an eternal quest for white teeth. Their pearly whites are just not white enough for them. All the film stars and celebrities, whose photographs constantly stare back at us from various magazines, are forever flashing their pearly whites quite unashamedly. That’s the color of teeth everybody aspires to have. Maybe white teeth would give ordinary mortals the same superstar status too.

For most people their dental hygiene routine involves a bi-annual visit to their dentist to get their teeth checked and cleaned. Other than that they brush their teeth twice a day using whitening toothpaste. Those who want to get their teeth white at any cost and can afford it, resort to cosmetic dentistry. In Beverly Hills and similar places teeming with the rich and famous as well as the wannabes, cosmetic dentistry is turning out to be a phenomenal business.

Cosmetic dentistry also includes dental veneers. Any one, who can afford to, would go in for veneers as a cover-up for discolored or badly stained teeth. Your yellowed teeth are covered by small plastic or porcelain strips, called dental veneers, which are pure white in color.

If you did a search on the Internet, you would be sure to find reputed cosmetic dentists listed in the Los Angeles areas or Beverly Hills areas. These dental technicians and cosmetic dentists offer a whole gamut of dentistry corrections. They will construct a full porcelain cap to give you those white teeth that you so desire. On the other hand they will arrange to correct the tiniest imperfection with a teeny little strip.

Porcelain veneers are rather expensive and are mostly found in dental clinics that have celebrity clients. With porcelain veneers your teeth will stay white for as long as ten to fifteen years but this comes at a very high price. Veneers can set you back thousands of dollars. Veneers have to be molded to the shape and size of your teeth for a perfect fit. This may require several visits to the dentist and is a time-consuming process.

Direct or composite veneers are also available, but these too are very expensive and can set you back several hundred dollars for each tooth. Because each veneer has to be applied to the tooth directly and separately, this whole procedure can be completed in one sitting. The disadvantage of getting veneers is that besides being really expensive, the process can be quite painful too.

For those who can afford it, veneers are a great boon as they cover up badly stained or discolored teeth and make your teeth look white for years. If your finances can match your quest for white teeth, then veneers are the way to go.
