How To Have A Gorgeous Smile
You’d be amazed at the amount of people out there who actually hesitate to smile because they prefer not to let anybody see their teeth. It could be that they hate their teeth color or maybe even the teeth placement. Everybody is looking for whiter teeth and some people will try any new treatment in an effort to achieve just that. Just following a few of these simple, basic tips you could make your dream come true.
Hygiene
Proper oral hygiene is the mantra for a perfect smile. Visit your dentist and get your teeth checked and cleaned at least once every six months. This way the dentist can look for any tiny little cavities that have sprung up since your last check-up and attend to them right away. If left attended these cavities will definitely grow and spread. A decayed tooth could prove to be your biggest smile detractor. Make sure the dental technician maintains a dental record with your dental history.
Besides going to the dentist, you should also have a daily oral hygiene routine, which includes brushing your teeth a minimum of twice a day. Flossing should also be included in your daily routine as it helps to prevent decay.
What You Drink
Besides other things, your teeth are also a reflection of what you eat and drink. Calcium, that all-important mineral that is so essential for strong teeth can be got from milk and milk products. So drink up and see the amazing results it has on your teeth as well as your smile.
Some drinks however are best avoided. Tea, coffee and dark-colored colas stain the enamel of the teeth giving them a brownish-yellowish look.
Makeup
Ladies who have lesser-than-white teeth can resort to the magic of make-up to hide this imperfection. To give the impression that your teeth are whiter than they really are, stick with lipsticks that have purple or pink undertones. These colors bring out the whiteness of the teeth and give you something to smile about. Orange-toned lipsticks on the other hand should be avoided as they emphasize the yellow shades in the teeth, and your teeth end up looking more yellow and unappealing.
Whiteners
You could also try out some of the various teeth whiteners that are freely and cheaply available either as creams or as gels. Teeth whiteners are also available as mouthpieces or teeth strips. They need to be used consistently for best results and the enclosed directions should be carefully followed. These whiteners can be potential health risks if used for longer than the recommended time. Toothpastes incorporated with whitening agents are also available and are quite effective if used daily.
Be Yourself
That says it all- Be yourself!! Doesn’t matter whether your teeth are straight or crooked, white or yellow; people love you for who you are and not for your teeth. If you give somebody a big smile or a wide grin, the last thing they are going to notice is the color or shape of your teeth. All they will notice is your open, friendly smile and everything else will fade into oblivion.
